The retreat is at the foot of the mountain, 700 meters away from the lake, surrounded by an indigenous forest of ancient trees by a stream of slope water.
It is located in Villa Lago Meliquina, about 35 km away from the city of San Martín de los Andes and 17 km away from the ski resort of Chapelco. It is reached by the road of the Siete Lagos (Seven Lakes) in the Argentinian Patagonia. The village is thinly populated and there is no electricity, what makes it a really quiet and 100% natural place.

Practising yoga in a place like this, in direct contact with nature, helps us feel the harmonious interaction of all elements and experience a feeling of unity with everything that surrounds us, making it possible to connect with our innermost essence.

Practices and activities during the retreat:

Weather

December, January, February, March: temperatures may reach 30ºC, making it possible to enjoy the beach and the lake.

April, May, beginning of June: the weather is good, but the probabilities of rain are greater.

End of June, July and August, beginning of September: cold and snowy. Ski resort, 17 km away.

End of September, October and November: cool weather, excellent for walks. Still cold to enjoy the water. Nights are generally cold.

Take warm clothes any time of the year.

How to get there:

Once you contact us, we will agree on the place of departure and time of arrival, according to the means of transport you choose, and taking into account if you come from abroad.

Flight from Buenos Aires- Jorge Newbery airport (Aerolíneas Argentinas):
Departure: around 11:10 AM. Arrival: 1:30 PM in San Martín de los Andes, and by cab to Villa Lago Meliquina.

Bus from Retiro or Liniers:
Departure: around 7 PM; bus company: El Valle or Vía Bariloche. It gets to San Martín de los Andes the following day at 3 PM. Then, by cab to Villa Lago Meliquina.

Cabs can be shared by four people.

Cab route: 20 km of asphalted road (Siete Lagos road) driving southwards from San Martín de los Andes to San Carlos de Bariloche. Once at the intersection with road nº63, it turns left and drives 14 km along a rubble road that surrounds the lake and goes straight into the village. Wonderful landscapes.

Accommodation

Option 1: cabin for 4, 5, 6 people. Bathroom and kitchen included. 100 meters away from the Ashtanga center.

Option 2: cabin for 4, 5, 6 people. Bathroom and kitchen included. 300 meters away from the Ashtanga center.

Option 3: During December, January, February and March, you can camp in the woods, which is much cheaper.

If you prefer an individual cabin, consult about differences in price.

There are some typical hostels in the village, as well as telephones and Internet service.

If there are 4 or 5 people willing to travel, retreats can be organized any time of the year with one week in advance.

Price:

One week: U$a 500.-

It includes all classes, activities, meals (breakfast, lunch, tea, supper) and accommodation.

It doesn’t include tickets nor passes to the ski resorts in winter.

If you choose camping, the price for one week is U$a 400.-

Forms of payment:

50% when booking. Reservation can be paid at Banco Francés; account number: S.A. 186-40-300504/1. The other 50% is paid cash once you get to the center.
